Study AI ("we", "our", "the app") is an AI-powered study assistant for Android developed by Mobile web pixels. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
The core principle: Your data stays on your device. Study AI is designed as an offline-first application. All AI processing happens locally on your phone — no data is sent to our servers for AI inference.

All user-generated content (conversations, notes, quizzes, preferences) is stored exclusively in a local database on your device using Android Room and DataStore.
AI Processing
Study AI uses an on-device large language model (LLM) powered by llama.cpp. All AI inference happens locally on your phone. Your prompts, conversations, and notes are never transmitted to any server for AI processing.
The AI model file is downloaded once during initial setup from a secure CDN (HuggingFace). After download, the app operates fully offline.
Network Usage
The app uses an internet connection only for:
1. AI Model Download — A one-time download of the AI model file (~1 GB) from HuggingFace during initial setup. No personal data is transmitted during this download.
2. Advertising — We display ads through Google AdMob to support free access to the app. Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
Third-Party Services
Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob to display interstitial advertisements. AdMob may collect and process certain information including device identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data. This data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
HuggingFace: Used solely for hosting the AI model file for download. No personal data is shared with HuggingFace.
We do not use any analytics, crash reporting, or tracking services beyond what AdMob provides.
Data Security
Your data is protected by Android's application sandboxing. Each app on Android has its own private storage area that other apps cannot access. Your study data, notes, and conversations are stored in this protected area.
We do not have access to your data. Since everything is stored locally, there is no server-side database that could be breached.
Children's Privacy
Study AI is designed as an educational tool suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since all data is stored locally on the device and we do not collect personal information on our servers, no child's data is transmitted to us.
The ads shown through Google AdMob comply with Google's policies regarding child-directed content.
Your Rights & Data Deletion
Since all data is stored on your device, you have complete control:
Delete specific data: Delete individual notes, quizzes, or chat sessions within the app.
Delete all data: Uninstalling the app removes all stored data permanently, including the AI model, conversations, notes, and preferences.
Delete the AI model: You can delete the downloaded AI model from within the app's Settings screen to free up storage space.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
